Testimonials

Rachel is one of the hardest-working and most dedicated colleagues I have ever had. I have seen her give 100% of herself in the workplace, day after day, despite many challenges. I have also seen her give up her personal time to work hard for causes close to her heart. Her artistic ability is astonishing, and her loyalty unmatched. She is organized, diligent, and passionate. I could not have asked for a better member of my team.

Over the past year, I’ve worked under Rachel’s leadership on the Marketing Committee for Emerging Arts Leaders/Los Angeles. In this time, Rachel’s ability to connect and communicate — both visually and through messaging — has been the key to our growth and audience development. Not only has Rachel’s graphic design, copywriting, and email marketing increased our brand awareness, but her exceptional leadership has advanced our committee from its infancy into a well-organized, multifaceted team. And while I certainly miss working directly alongside her, Rachel has set our team up for total success as she has advanced in our organization. I have learned a lot from Rachel as a marketer and as a manager, and I look forward to seeing Emerging Arts Leaders/Los Angeles continue to grow from her leadership.

Rachel Kilroy is a very passionate and dedicated educator, artist, and manager. Her upbeat personality was both a pleasure to work with and a boon in her role working with young students, their teachers, and our complex public school systems.

Having volunteered for Emerging Arts Leaders Los Angeles on the Leadership Council together, I had the pleasure of working closely Rachel. She is a determined, creative spirit and colleague who spearheaded many of the major marketing campaigns as Marketing Chair. Rachel led the team with gusto, making everyone feel welcomed and motivated, while also working closely with the other Leadership Council Chairs to maintain cohesion and growth. As a friend and leader Rachel has proven attentive, thoughtful, kind, and innovative. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to any arts administration or arts education team!

Serving as the Programming Chair for Emerging Arts Leaders/LA’s Leadership Council (LC), I could not have asked for a more professional, inspiring, or personable Marketing Chair to work alongside than Rachel. Not only does Rachel approach challenges with creative and critical thinking, but also leads with a grace and kindness that inspires camaraderie and true collaboration. Being relatively new to the LC myself, there were countless times when I was in need of a fellow chair to talk to—Rachel was never more than a phone call away, and took the effort to offer advice, exchange ideas, or walk me through processes such as writing event copies or making the best use of our CRM system. Rachel’s keen foresight and attention to timelines as they apply to marketing was crucial and helped lay the groundwork for the programming team to plan ahead and meet deadlines with ease. Rachel exemplifies true leadership and I am honored to call her a colleague and lifelong friend.
